Geoff Ducker says:
"We get a lot of pleasure from the wild-life visiting our garden, here in the Lake District National Park. So I decided to record some of the frequent visitors & also hoped this may encourage others to do likewise. I film everything in HDV nowadays, currently using Sony V-1 and A1-E cameras. Mainly they are mounted on a remotely controlled powered tripod head, often coupled to the kitchen TV via an HDMI lead.
"In spite of spending about ten hours poring over the TV, I manged to shoot under 2 hours of wildlife and missed maybe 50% of the regular garden visitors including birds, bees, insects & the weasel!!. I can appreciate why "Spring Watch" and similar programmes are protracted with so few shots in real time. No matter the size of the garden or the balcony on the flat, I recommend trying recording wild life in whatever form."
