Projects > Club Night
Graham Easton says :
" 'Club Night' was produced using a program called Antics, which until recently was available to the general public. Antics is a 3D animation program based on the "Machinima" animation system, as used in video games, which allows you to apply movement and actions to characters and simulate the use of multi camera filming."
Once the initial set was designed, the characters were animated to walk in and sit down. The film of the large screen on the set was applied in post production. Various camera positions were set up and the film cut to get the most appropriate shots. Once complete the animation was exported as an AVI file.
The post production was done using Adobe premier Pro CS3 as follows :
- The animation was brought onto the timeline.
- The film of the lifeboat which had been pre-edited and titled was brought onto the second time line and the aspect manipulated using one of the tools available in Premier.
- Music was added and text applied.
- The film was then output as an "avi." file and saved.
The film was shown on the opening night of the new season and hinted at the new projector the club had agreed to buy.
