Peter Parker and Ken Russell's short video was commissioned by Lancashire's Special Constabulary, to be included in packs sent out to prospective Special Constables. The title asks "Are You Special" and the video shows the training and likely situations that the Special Constable may come up against.

Part of the video was filmed during a training weekend and the remainder was filmed on location around Preston, Kirkham and Burnley. All the "actors" were Special Constables, apart from the "drunk" and "car driver" who was specially trained at Morecambe Bay Movie Makers !!

Are You Special was overall winner of the 2007 Annual Open competition.
