Projects > From Out of the Ashes
Ron Wood gives us an insight into his recent competition entry:
"Having decided to upgrade my video editing equipment this coincided with a M.B.M.M. competition for films of LOCAL INTEREST. I had stills of the fire which destroyed the Lancaster Victorian Market Hall in 1984.These photos having been taken by my two sons Bruce & Nigel. I combined these stills with video taken when the market was temporarily covered with a tent like structure, the building of the temporary market situated on the bus station and the demolition and rebuilding of the new market complex. I added film of the opening ceremony by Councillor Abbott Bryning which I had videoed at the time, making a clip of approx. 12 mins"
"Out Of The Ashes" took joint 3rd place in the 2007 Annual Open Competition.
