Weekly Report
31st October, 2007 - Ken Russell
At Morecambe Bay Movie Makers' weekly meeting, club members split into three working groups for a practical movie making evening. Each group was set a task to produce a series of interviews with grumpy old men using lights, mics and cameras. The subjects under discussion were politics, shopping, eating habits, holidays, transport and mobile phones.
Each group will now go away and edit the sections with suitable inserts from their library footage or shoot new material as required. This will be collated into a lighthearted programme of members' views of the world today.

At Morecambe Bay Movie Makers' weekly meeting, club member Peter Parker gave a presentation on promotional movies. He illustrated his talk with examples of programmes he had made for a variety of companies, organisations and voluntary groups. He explained how the use of the right music, speed of editing, colour or monochrome images could change the impact of the finished product, suitable for the target audience.
The meeting then discussed ideas for the club's future promotional movie featuring Regent Park Studio. The second part of the evening involved watching examples and planning for next week's practical night, when club members will split into groups to produce grumpy old men and ladies movies.
